The Department of Electronics and Telecommunications was established in the year 1992. Presently the intake of students for the U.G course is 120. Post graduate course was inducted in the year 2002 with an intake of 18.
The department’s vision is to nurture students to become technocrats with a humane outlook. Department’s strength lies in the well qualified, intelligent and diligent faculty. The laboratories are equipped with the state of art hardware and software so that our students are trained effectively and are able to apply their acquired knowledge and skills to solve real life technical challenges.
Many of our alumni are industry captains, business leaders, entrepreneurs and members of research organizations globally .In a nutshell the department is well nurtured and progressive to cater to all needs and aspirations of our students.

TV, VLSI & Satellite Communication Lab
Laboratory courses conducted: Digital VLSI Design, Linear Integrated Circuits (LIC), Digital Electronics (DE) and Satellite Communications.
This lab is equipped with computers and professional software like Xilinx Vivado 16.2, Mentor Graphics and hardware such as Zybo FPGA kits, Analog Discovery kits, Papilio FPGA kits, digital trainer kits, CRO, DSO, function generators and power supplies. Satellite trainer kits are also available. Internship projects are carried out in this lab.
Analog & Digital Communication Lab
Laboratory courses conducted: Digital Communication, Principles of Communication Engineering, Neural Network and Fuzzy Logic, Computer Communication Networking and Data Compression & Encryption.
Major equipment includes DSO, CRO, spectrum analyzer, function generator, signal generator, DMM, power supply, computers (HCL, HP, DELL) and analog/digital communication trainer kits.
Software used: CommSim 7, MATLAB R2016a, NetSim, Python, Cisco Packet Tracer, Wireshark, LibreOffice and Scilab.
RF, Microwave & Antenna Communication Lab
Laboratory courses conducted: RF Circuit Design, Microwave Devices & Circuits, Computer Communication Networks and Electromagnetic Wave Theory.
Lab equipment includes spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, DSO, transmission line trainers and computers. Software such as MATLAB, Ansoft and PCADD are used for simulation.
DSP & IP Open Source Lab
Odd semester subjects include Open Source Technology, Neural Network and Speech Processing. Even semester subjects include Image Processing and DSP Lab.
Software used: MATLAB, Python, Scilab, LTSpice, SEQUEL and Xilinx HDL. Licensed MATLAB includes Image Processing and Neural Network toolboxes.
D-Link Academic, Network & Wireless Communication Lab
Laboratory courses conducted: Mobile Communication and Wireless Networks.
Software used: NetSim Academic 11.0 and MATLAB. Equipment includes D-Link L3 switches, wireless controllers, unified switches and access points.
Optical Fiber Communication & Network Lab
Laboratory courses conducted: Optical Communication, Telecom Network Management and Database Management.
Lab is equipped with OTDR, fiber optic kits and computers. Software includes COMSOL Multiphysics, NetSim and MATLAB.
Innovation Lab & Tinkerer's Lab
This innovation lab supports departmental and ME projects. Technical workshops and competitions are organized annually.
Equipment includes Raspberry Pi kits, Arduino Mega, NodeMCU, DC motors, soldering kits and MSP430 boards.
PCB, Microprocessor / Microcontroller & Embedded System Lab
PCB lab supports circuit assembly and testing. Microprocessor lab includes 8086 and 8051 kits. Embedded lab uses STM32 development boards and sensor modules.
Facilities include oscilloscopes, DSO, function generators, power supplies, Keil software, RTOS and embedded development modules.
Electronic Devices & Integrated Circuits Lab
This lab supports second-year students for hardware experiments and simulations using LTSpice.
Equipped with CRO, function generators, power supplies, multimeters, breadboards and electronic components. 14 computers are available for simulation work.
